I might only have one match

But I can make an explosion

Susan couldnt even tell how long her and Emma had been stuck in there, simply talking-- and finding a way to seal Susan's wound. It hurt like hell, but at least now she wasnt bleeding. And here everyone thought Susan was the gentle one?! Okay, maybe that was still true comparatively, but Susan was often her strongest when she was beaten down to her weakest state. She didnt like giving up, especially when she had come so far.. She and emma fought pretty damn hard, and would keep fighting. They were resiliant, and heaven knew the two would find a way out of this just like they found their way out in every situation-- by keeping their wits about them.

Susan was up and pacing like a wild animal in a cage, ready to fight her way out if given the opportunity. She looked out at their capturers-- the grotesque, vial creatures that followed in the shadow of something far worse, The Horned King. They made aweful noises as they spoke, commanding others around, and throwing in more prisoners. Likely they also had attempted at venturing the castle, or they were being kept as a bunch of trophies. Susan only assumed she was here because she had been with Emma, the Savior, who seemed the most likely to stop the Horned King. At least she thought so. Susan's previous titles meant nothing here, after all.

One of the creatures came close to the bars, reaching for Susan, clearly to upset her. She reacted leess than gently, grabbing its hand (was it a hand?) And breaking it. The guard growl in a loud bellowing, the other guards pulled him back, and shoved her back away from the bars-- sending her to the floor Susan glared as the creature shout in a language she couldnt even place. She looked to Emma a moment before picking herself up off the floor to stand, leaning against the stone wall. It seemed more and more 'guests' were brought down here everytime she turned around..

Emma Swan, Neal Cassidy, Kylo Ren, Caspian X, open to whoever else jumps in lol

Enjoy <3

Neal had come to these dungeons with a few purposes, and, he had now completed two of them. Emma was safe, left with her father and uncle, and, now at least, he could help Susan get to safety as well.

After kissing Emma goodbye momentarily, Neal had secured Susan around his shoulder, before beginning to walk her out of the cell. Neal knew that he and Susan weren't related by blood, but, she had become one of the people he was closest to in this town.

They were family now.

He knew that Susan had been injured, but, he needed to get her away from the cell first. Neal gave a soft smile in her direction as he looked back to make sure Emma was still safe as well, and, he gave a sigh of relief when he saw that she was.

Neal turned back to Susan, and, walked her over to a corner of the castle, standing next to her by the wall. “Hey, let me look at that injury of yours for a moment.”

She smiled as she noticed her best friend burst through the barred door, naturally waiting for him to enjoy his moment with his true love. It was those little moments that Susan had always held dear in her life and her friends lives. They were usually what impacted the most without ever even knowing. Something as simple as a kiss meant everything. It meant happiness, goodbye, a gate to a new life.. So many things that made moments memorable. A kiss was her good bye to Caspian, A kiss was what opened her heart to Kylo. It was so subtle, yet it was worth a thousand lifetimes. She was happy for her friends. They deserved their happiness after so much sorrow.

She smiled weakly as he came over to her," Hello, dear brother," Susan said, he voice as gentle as ever-- if not a bit raspy from the dehydration from their time locked in there. Who knew how long that had even been.. Darkness of a dungeon tended to warp time in ways that made it impossible to follow. She moved her arm, a gash covered in makeshift bandages. "One of the little buggers got me, but you should have seen him.." She chuckled gently, only to wince at the pain it caused. "You needn't worry. Once we're out of this bloody castle ill be sure to get a right proper patching," She smiled, trying to stay up as best as she could despite the wobbling in her knees. She paid no mind, knowing the longer they stuck around here the more likely a guard or the undead would find them.

"Let's get out of here," She said simply, as she headed out. "Who else was caught in here? Should we be finding others?" She whisphered softy to Neal. It was probably foolish to even ask given her state. She didnt have her weapons anymore, and she was injured, but it wouldnt have been the first time Susan managed to catch her second wind after being beaten down-- Just ask the prince that tried..

"Have you seen my siblings? Caspian or Kylo? None of them are in here are they?" She asked, worried they may have been in here as well. There was no way Susan wouldve left anyone in here if she could, and even less so if it was family.

Neal gave a soft smile in Susan's direction. “Hey. I'm glad you guys are both ok.” Neal heard the dehydration in her voice, and, sighed before pulling a water bottle out of it, and, giving one to Susan and Emma as well. He was so relieved to know that two of the people he had come down here for were ok. Once he got them out of here, he would work on getting his father and Belle out in one piece as well. Neal ignored her next comment before just examining the injury on her arm. “That's reassuring, but, let me at least check it for a moment. I mean no-one knows about self protecting injuries then run aways right?” Neal secured his grip around her to allow her to balance properly against him, while they managed to begin to get themselves out of this place. While he was good at avoiding guards, and, getting out of places through years of practice, he wasn't going to risk anyone else's life to do it.

“Look don't worry about that. Let's just get you out of here.” Neal didn't want to worry her, by saying that his father and Belle were still down here, since he knew that Susan would insist he leave her and go and find them. One step at a time was his plan. “We're not finding anyone. You are getting out of here and a check up.” Neal wasn't going to let anyone get hurt on his watch, and, he needed to be reassured that everything was ok with the people he loved.

“One thing at a time. Don't worry about anything, but, keeping your balance on me so I can get you out of here.” Neal then made sure she was secured around his shoulder, before glancing backwards once again to make sure that David and James were ok with bringing Emma up behind them.

When the castle of darkness, mushrooms and discoloured patches that might be damp but considering the occupants equally might not be had turned up Caspian had known deep in his soul that he would, sooner or later, end up marching into it with a sword in his hand. He was a king of Narnia and a champion of Aslan and while the great lion did not, as far as Caspian knew, have anything against darkness as a decor choice, mushrooms in general or live inside often enough to worry about rising damp and its affect on plaster, the army of the dead wandering around attacking and kidnapping people was another matter. That, Aslan would frown upon and expect Caspian and the Pevensie siblings to do something about.

So, finding himself inside the dread castle with his old green armour thrown on over a long-sleeved t-shit and jeans and his sword at his hip was not a turn of events he found particularly surprising.

He had not, however, expected the company.

Or the glowing sword-thing.

Or, truth be told, that they'd be going to rescue Susan, who might be the gentle queen but had been no slouch on the battlefield back in Narnia and was no pushover as part of Storybrooke's much put-upon law enforcement team either. He could only assume that the walking skeletons had got the drop on her somehow or had come in overwhelming numbers.

In any case they - they being Susan's past and current suitors, which had to be some sort of cosmic joke even if Caspian wasn't sure he could see the punchline - had got in by scrambling over a wall (Caspian's idea, he'd always been a good climber and the patrols were erratic, to say the least) and had slipped through an open door after a small group of skeletons.

They hadn't lasted long and Caspian developed certain feelings about lightsabers, AKA glowing sword-things. He did not expect them to be safe - they were weapons, after all - but the thing could cut into stone and he'd really rather his companion was a bit more respectful of that fact considering how confined a space the corridors were and thus how close together they were when he was waving it around.

He rather got the impression that Kylo was not used to fighting as part of a group in the same way that Caspian wasn't used to fighting on his own

Had the skeletons been more like bodies and therefore a bit more intact Caspian would have tried to conceal them somehow but as it was by the time the fight was over bits of bone were everywhere and as they didn't have hours to pick them all up or a broom to sweep them into a corner they left them where they were. Hopefully no one would go that way for a while or if they did would somehow not notice the bones in the gloom. He wasn't sure how the walking skeletons worked exactly, obviously they could target specific people but he'd no idea if they communicated with each other or if they'd recognise a heap of bones - an inanimate object - as a former colleague. If he'd felt more comfortable with his travelling companion he might have asked his opinion but with Kylo he got the feeling he'd either be snapped at or given some poetic speech and frankly he had the patience for neither right now so he kept his thoughts to himself.

He did, however, speak up when on exploring further into the castle Kylo took a left turn while Caspian's instincts from a lifetime living in castles told him to keep going straight on, sparking a whispered debate not unlike the one Phoebus and Quasimodo had when presented with a woven band of a map.

I might only have one match

But I can make an explosion

Susan sighed a bit, feeling pretty much useless in that moment. She was certain there were many people that needed saved, and here she was. The soon-to-be-lieutenant of the sheriff's station, and a Queen of Narnia.. a leader. Now? She was just a third leg that served no purpose but to seemingly get in the way of what needed done. There was others here that needed Neal, and while he did a wonderful job getting off he subject, it didnt sway the houghts from her mind that there were others that had needed him more. Susan was no stranger to war, imprisonment.. but there were others here that were likely terrified and uncertain-- not that she didnt feel he same. She certainly did against a foe like the Horned King, however, she was assimilated to that part. Her role was a heroine,  and a protector, and she knew what that meant. It was a sacrifice that drove the queen durig her reign in Narnia, and now as a protector of the town.

"Well, I bloody well cant be much help.." She sighed a bit, wincing as she moved quickly-- or rather was quickly as she could in her state. She wasnt dying, at least not yet. She wasnt even really sure how long shw had been held captive with Emma. In the dark, damp underground dungeons, it was no wonder she didnt have a clue. Without a sky to compare time to, she felt lost in limbo. No sun. No moon. No stars. Just endless darkness only mildly cut through by the flickering light from the torches outside of their cell. She looked around, placing her free hand on the stone wall as they moved, keeping herself steady. Perhaps she lost more blood than she thought, but that didnt give her any excused to move slowly. She needed to push herself, and get out so that Neal could do what he came in here to do.. She held onto Neal as they moved, looking at the blood and dirt covered floors.. She hoped both were as old as they appeared...

She listened intently as they moved, just in case they ran into any undead.. "Do you know how to get back?" She asked, feeling like a mouse, running through a ridiculous maze. She had faith in Neal, and trusted that he couldd get them out, but she simply didnt want to hold him back. There were many others that needed help more than her.. she stopped a moment, hearing footsteps approaching. They were more.. rhythmic than the undead that sound more like rattling or a creaking-- sometimes a lazed shuffling noise. "I think someone is coming.." She whispered, trying to straighten herself up as best as she could, looking down the dark corridor with furrowed brows as she readied herself for whatever or whomever may have been on their way.

“It's ok I, I got this.” Neal said, before he took a glance around the castle as he continued to lead Susan out, making sure that he was being gentle the way that he was moving around. He had dealt with injuries like this before, so he knew the pre-cautions, but, unlike those others he actually cared about Susan. They had been down here long enough, it was time to get them out. Get them all home. Neal did bring himself a torch, so that they had a bit more light to go off of, just in case it was needed.

“I think I have some idea.” Neal said, knowing that he was good at figuring out his way out of places. Neal had spent his whole life doing it, so this was just one more challenge after all wasn't it? He knew that he wasn't going to leave any of them in here, this was his family. Neal's ears perked up as he heard footsteps coming from a distance, he glanced at Susan, before looking back towards the noise. “Yeah, you just sit down for a moment.” Neal moved Susan over towards a seat, and, put her down before holding his flashlight up in the direction of the footsteps, keeping his hand on the sword just in case.

A sudden explosion of combat in the left hand corridor decided things for them - even if Caspian's instinct was to go and help there'd have been no room for him to join in, never mind Kylo as well, and the people down there seemed to be holding their own just fine. With a final glower at each other they were off again, their footsteps rapid and echoing in the enclosed space. Really they should have been going a bit sower, more cautiously, but somehow he just couldn't bring himself to do that. Susan might be up ahead somewhere and Kylo was right there at his side and quite frankly neither encouraged him to take a slow and steady pace. Thy could handle whatever creatures were up ahead between them, he was sure.

Speaking of up ahead -

His hand shot out to stop Kylo from going any further forwards - part of him didn't doubt that he was getting a look promising dire retribution for that - as his ears and eyes strained for whatever it was that had his instincts screaming that there was something there. They could happily go into overdrive, the product of a childhood he'd never expected to survive, but he wasn't about to discount them either when they'd seen him through to adulthood and beyond. Slowly, carefully, he began easing forwards again, on high alert still but unwilling to remain frozen in the corridor for longer than they had to.

A heartbeat later relief hit him like a shockwave. "Susan!" He called as loudly as he dared, shoving his sword back into its scabbard as he dashed across the distance between them and, ignoring Neal for the moment, caught her up in his arms and pressed a kiss into her hair. A second later he was pushing backwards, both hands on her shoulders and eyes flying over her battered, bruised form. She was alive, he told his thundering heart, she was alive and she was walking (limping with assistance) and she wasn't dead and lost to him. Not yet. Not yet.

"How badly are you hurt?" He asked, demanded really, fingers digging in deep in an attempt to stop himself from hurling himself into her again even though he was unable to stop himself from wanting that, from wanting to just scoop her up and run and leave everyone else behind. But it wasn't just the two of them. In reality, it never had been. "Kylo's here as well." He turned his head, started shifting to the side so that Susan's boyfriend (the word sounded wrong in his head somehow, as if Queen Susan the Gentle was above such a thing as a boyfriend, but he had no idea what else to call the man or what Susan might call him) could get to her as well. Only there was a distinct lack of him in the corridor directly behind him and he could have sworn he was right there a moment ago. "He's... somewhere." Somewhere causing trouble, his mind added in a doubtful and bitter tone, but he ignored it in favour of rubbing Susan's shoulder and the tops of her arms. "Come on, let's get you out of here."

I might only have one match

But I can make an explosion

She held on to her friend, giving a soft sigh and a nod in agreement as he told her to sit for a moment.. she sat waiting.. worried. She felt completely useless. She was injured, and barely walking alone as it was. She hated that she was slowing Neal down. He had others he needed to help, and here she was weighing him down. She could only hope they were close to finding a way out, so that she could tough it out and let him do what he needed to do.. She slowly moved against the wall, sitting rather uncomfortably against the wall, holding onto a ledge, so that she could hoist herself up should any trouble manage to find them. After all, her knack for finding it (or more so it finding her) was what had landed her in this hot water with Emma to begin with. Poor Neal was certainly in trouble if he was going to be a part of this family as her honorary brother, but as the future husband of the Savior and the son of  the Dark One, she figured he was likely used to a certain level of craziness.

She held onto the wall, until a figure appeared abruptly before the pair. It was.. Caspian?! What was he doing here?! She held herself up, reaching out to him, feeling him grasp her with care and relief as he kissed her atop her dark hair. She held onto him as he managed to help her up, finding he was nearly as strong as he had been before, even after all this time without training," Caspian," She smiled weakly, but just as quickly turned to scolding with her looks. He was crazy. He couldve been hurt, or worse, killed. While she wanted to scold Neal, she knew his true love had been in the castle. Caspian was allowed no leeway from her scoldings, but she would save them for a better time..

A time when they werent still caught in a crumbling old castle filled with the undead..

She moved to Neal, giving him a weak hug and a platonic kiss on the cheek, akin to the way she treated her own brothers. "You better come out of here alive, Neal," Her eyes stern, but brimming with care, before she moved back to Caspian to lend a hand with her weakened state. She wasnt one who enjoyed help-- rather one who accepted it in a begrudged silence, because her mild pride sometimes took the best of her. "Are you following out.. Or are you headed back?" She asked Neal, though she was quite certain her was a hero on a mission, and now that she was in good hands, there wasnt anything to harbor his worry.

"Wait.." She looked about," He just.. ran off?" She was frustrated that the two hadnt stayed together. "Or did you? I cant just lea--" She felt her head nod forward a bit, a dizziness setting in. She grabbed Caspian, nearly blacking out," I cant just leave.." She muttered, but she knew very well she was doing no good in this place. "Please.. Just.. Someone make sure he makes it out.." She was worried for everyone, but she knew she couldnt help. She'd lost more blood than she thought, and running about had proven how much she had.

"You're worth it." He said in response to the look she was giving him - the one which said that she was not best pleased that he'd chosen to walk into a zombie infested castle after her, even though it was clear to all of them that she'd never have escaped without help in this condition and really what had she expected? He was only glad that Lucy hadn't collared him and insisted on coming before he and Kylo set of for he doubted he'd have been able to refuse her, no matter how young she seemed to him now. She was Queen Lucy the Valiant and she'd saved Narnia when she was a little girl and again and again as she grew older and he knew what he'd been capable of at the age she was now - if she'd looked at him and said it was her sister in danger and she was coming he'd have done little more than found her another dagger and told her that if anything went wrong she was to run outside and find more people to help.

Please Aslan they wouldn't meet her on the way back out, making her way in to rescue them all and furious at being left behind.

As much as a small, petty part of Caspian wanted to agree that yes Kylo had run off and left them for no good reason he shook his head. He was better than that and Kylo... well, he had a dark reputation but Susan cared for him and he'd come in here to rescue her, even if Caspian wasn't quite prepared to give him the complete benefit of the doubt at this point he'd more than earned Caspian being polite and truthful about him. "He was here a moment ago, we came in together after we heard you'd been taken." Just the two of them racing in after a short conversation which now struck him as a little silly but, well, they'd made it here alright and it wasn't as if he at least didn't have experience of sneaking around hostile castles with only one or two people as allies. Besides a better equipped and larger rescue force could have taken a lot longer to put together and then maybe they'd have been too late for Susan. It didn't bear thinking about and he shook his head slightly to clear the thought. It had been risky but now they had Susan and frankly given what he'd seen Kylo do with his blade Caspian was not overly concerned about him. "He's a... very enthusiastic fighter."

He slung one of Susan's arms around his shoulders the better to support her weight - not an ideal situation as if they met any zombies he'd spend valuable time easing her onto the floor or against a wall and only drawing his sword after she was settled, but she'd never make it walking alone at this point. In fact he wasn't convinced that he wouldn't be carrying her before they made it outside and he wished Neal was staying with them but if he was going back in there after Emma... if their positions had been reversed and it was Susan still down there... he gripped her wrist that bit tighter to secure her arm and wrapped his other arm around her slim waist, something he'd fantasised about more than once although never with this particular context. He'd never wanted Susan hurt and now she was he was determined to get her help as soon as possible, even if that meant leaving Kylo to fend for himself for the time being. "I can come back in for him if he hasn't turned up by the time we get you outside." He promised and with a nod to Neal started moving them awkwardly back the way he'd come and towards the exit.
