Between Willow coming back and both Sam and Dean in Storybrooke, Charlie was really beginning to feel like life was really looking up. At least that's how she felt for about five minutes before a curse hit and took a ton of her friends away. She was still quite happy to have Sam, Dean and Willow in her life and safe, but there was no way she could sit back and let everyone else do all the lifting to find a way to get their friends and family back.

After the town meeting it was a no-brainer who Charlie wanted to team up with to go help find door pieces. Of course she knew her and Willow would do, but with John out on a mission as well, Willow and her decided they would go when John, Merida and Wanda got back. So after having lunch with Willow and assuring the sexy red headed witch that she promised she would come back in one piece, Charlie headed out to team up with Sam and Dean.

Charlie wasn't really thrilled with the idea that they would have to just blindly leap in the first open portal they found, they wouldn't even know where they would end up, so Charlie did her best to pack for any potential realm, with a bit of help from Willow. After meeting up with Sam and Dean and adjusting her rather heavy pack, a portal finally open and she closed her eyes and jumped.

“Heave ho bitches!!!!”

The next thing she knew she was on her back looking up at a blue sky through the trees. At least this time she hadn't landed in a prickly bush like when she fell through a portal with Spike a year ago. She pulled herself up and looked around. Seemed simple enough, any realm could have a forest right, seemed to be in colour so there was at least one realm that could be ruled out. She pulled herself to a standing position and adjusted her bag, glancing at the guys that for all intents and purposes were her brothers.

“Oh, by the way, my girlfriend wanted me to tell you guys, if you don't get me back to her in one piece she'll personally put a hex on both of you.”

Charlie had quite a few friends that went missing back in March, and even though she wasn't as close to any of the missing as she was to Sam, Dean and Willow, that didn't make her any less willing to volunteer to help find the pieces necessary. Charlie had never been one to sit back when people were in need, she probably would have volunteered to help even if she hadn't known a single person that was missing, it was just how she was hardwired after all. Funny enough that wasn't something Charlie had always realised about herself, sure she generally liked helping people, especially if she could screw big business and corrupt corporations in the process, but it wasn't until she met the Winchesters that she truly discovered what sort of person she was deep down. When the shit hit the fan, she didn't run afraid or only caring about keeping herself safe, she ran towards the danger and found a family in doing so.

If she hadn't met the Winchesters all those years ago, she imagined her life would be vastly different now, she wouldn't trade all the danger for anything though since she got two brothers and an amazing girlfriend out of it whom she was quite in love with.

Speaking of girlfriends she was head over heels in love with, there was no way she was going portal jumping for an important quest without Willow. They were so in synch they'd hardly needed to even discuss it, a look, a smile and a nod of the head and it was decided, they would help.

The idea of intentionally jumping blindly into n open portal made her nervous, but she had Willow with her so she closed her eyes and jumped. The landing was a bit rough, but she felt all in one piece. The sky was cloudy and overcast like it might rain any moment, the air had a cool nip to it and she could smell rain on the horizon. Before she could think much more about things, suddenly she realised she was under a rather large ugly tree, that appeared to be.........angry.
Her eyes went wide as she realised the tree was doing more than swaying in the wind, it was moving of its own volition and about to send one of its branches down upon her trying to swat her like a fly. She reached her hand out blindly for Willow to try and help make sure Willow came with her.

"Uh Willow.......... RUN!!!!!!" After that she only thought about one thing, avoiding being hit by the angry tree and getting out of its reach.

After having been separated from half the town, along with many of Charlie's dear friends, for what felt like forever but really amounted to perhaps barely seven months she was ready to kick back and really enjoy this Halloween. Somehow with everyone reunited it felt even brighter, but then it had always been one of Charlie's favourite holidays, even after she met the Winchesters and found out all the big bad scary things people liked to dress as for Halloween were actually real and actually did kill people. None of that could ever put a damper on her love for the holiday simply because it involved dressing up. Charlie had always been a big gaming nerd, whether it was tabletop Dungeons and Dragons, roleplay games online, or just some LARP with a group of friends, Charlie geeked out for such things.

This Halloween she was determined that she was finally going to convince her good friend Killian Jones, to dress up as a certain Disney pirate Captain. Sure it was probably a bit cliche, having her friend Killian dress up as the character that was basically based on his very life, but of course the Disney version of Captain Hook looked nothing like the flesh and blood pirate. Even though he was a he, and Charlie was into girls, she could still appreciate his general attractiveness, especially in comparison to a wig wearing hooked villain with a villain's moustache.

She special ordered the costume, she was just hoping it would fit. She wasn't really sure what she and Aileen could dress up as just yet. She debated theme costumes, but somehow dressing up a Tink or Wendy or Pan just felt a bit weird. Everyone else in the story basically more or less looked more like their real life counterparts, except Hook. Well and from what she could tell the fact that Hook sometimes called Rumple the crocodile, and he definitely did not look much like an actual crocodile.

She borrowed Lorelai's jeep and had the bags of costumes and decorations loaded up inside. She parked just outside the docks and headed over to Hook's ship to see if he was around yet.

"Hook, you around? Aileen?"

Things were blurry, there were flashes and images in her head. Dean and Sam, Charlie leaving to seek a dark magic cure for the Mark of Cain, a journey that led her to Oz and then on to the Enchanted Forest. Then there were heroes, a green witch and a whole lotta troubles. Something went wrong, and suddenly she found herself to be not quite herself, and by not quite herself of course she was quite literally a furry flying monkey minion to the green witch Zelena.

Despite the flashes of memories of her life before being a flying monkey, the will and need to obey every one of Zelena's commands was more than she could overcome. It was like a part of her deep down wanted to say no, wanted to refuse, but she just couldn't. She was trapped in a dream as the need to obey Zelena took over.

Though she couldn't really communicate with people, she could with the other flying monkeys. At least she wasn't lonely, though most of the monkeys she had no idea who any of them were before they'd been turned. It also didn't seem to matter too much to her in the weird dreamy flying monkey state where her only concern was to obey Zelena.

Keep the heroes busy, that was their first and most important command to follow. Zelena needed them all as busy as possible and it was up to the flying monkeys to make sure that happened. After she'd taken a few swipes at some of the heroes patrolling the docks, Charlie flew over to the clock tower to nurse a wound. One of the heroes had managed to graze her with an arrow, and though it was shallow and would probably be fine, it stung and it annoyed her. She perched on the clock tower and watched the town below, it was night so she was hidden from view of most people. She was starting to wonder where the other flying monkeys were, until she heard flapping coming from behind and one landing near her.

Charlie had been thinking a lot lately about her life, and now that school was about to be out for Christmas break she had time to think about things even more. It was great though, she had both Dean and Sam back in her life, even Cass even though she hadn't really known the angel very well back in their own realm. He was nice though, quirky and a bit naive but any friend of the Winchesters was a friend of hers. Having the Winchesters around was like having her family back, since they were the closest she'd had to a family outside of her sick mother who passed a way a couple of years before she left for Oz. It all got her thinking more and more about how she'd been spending her time in Storybrooke. Not that there was anything wrong with how she was spending it. She had great friends and a great job, but where her job was concerned teaching had never been where she'd imagined her life to go.

Now, in all fairness, she'd gotten to the point with her life a long time ago that she hadn't really thought about big life-long aspirations. Mostly she thought about getting through each day, never looking much further ahead into the future outside of the general survival instincts. She'd been in Storybrooke awhile now though, ever since the curse brought everyone back to Storybrooke, some being there for the first time like herself. Her arrival hadn't been much fun since she spent the first couple of weeks as a flying monkey, but eventually she settled in quite nicely. Now she was beginning to think about things she'd never been able to think about, future things, responsible adult things, roots and connections. The more she thought about it, the more she realised as much as she loved teaching it wasn't really what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. She loved gaming though and computers, and she suddenly got the craziest idea. What if she were to run a gaming store, but not just to sell things, it would have a gaming room for people who wanted to play on computers and even a room for people who wanted to play table-top roleplay games.

Thing was, she didn't really want to take it all on by her lonesome. Sure she'd been saving up money for awhile now, not with any particular goal in mind, but it wasn't as if there were tons of things to go wild and spend one's money on in Storybrooke. She then got the idea, that perhaps there was someone she could ask. She'd gotten to know Eli Wallace reasonably well from working at the school with him and Nick. She had to say she found Eli a lot more fun to hang out with, not that Nick was a bad guy, but he was all serious and older and a bit boring. With the idea fresh in her mind she immediately headed out of the computer lab and down to see if Eli was around grading papers for Nick. She popped her head in.

"Hey Eli, you around?!"

Eli Wallace
