Chey walked in on her own as she left her daughter at school, then she knew that a babysitter would pick her up, so she wasn't as worried as she would be if her daughter was on her own. Given that she trusted the babysitter, it was all that mattered. To Chey at least. For the time being, Chey tried to think of any thing else but that. She looked around as she tried to find a place to sit. Once Chey found a place to sit, she walked over there and sat down. She then looked around herself lost in thoughts.

Chey waited for a waitress to come over and get her order. She lived in town for a while now, so she knew most if not all people in town due to that. Since Chey arrived in town with her daughter, until this day she got to know the town well, to the most part, but she was sure that there was more to see. It was just that after they arrived in town she got a job, as she signed her daughter to school, and due to them being busy with school and work, they didn't exactly explore much. Only a few places they explored on week days and such.

However, Granny's they knew rather well, as at times they went there alone and other times together as the lived right near by, which made it easier on them. Granny's was Chey's favorite diner and her daughter's too. At the moment she tried not to think of that. She missed her oldest daughter was in town but she doubted that she would ever get there, especially since she had no idea where she was, let alone whether she was still alive or not. Chey hoped that she was alive and that she would see her again, but with the cop that framed her kids dad, anything was possible, which was what worried her.

Chey refused to think about it like she refused to before. She refused to think of that ever since it happened. Chey watched as a waitress walked over and got her order and then she watched her walk off and after that, she looked down to the ground. Then when the waitress came back with her order, and put it in front of her. Chey just watched it and thank her and then watched her walk away. After that she dug in. Here and there she watched people walk in and out Granny's diner.

It was her second day in town. Up to now, she hadn't been able to find a single fracking person who could tell her how to get out of this hell hole. It looked like it fell right out of the 50's with it's perfect store fronts and perfect homes, perfect parks and perfect residents. God how she was already coming to hate this place. Everyone was so…happy she thought in disgust.

You know, there's not a problem with being happy, but chronically happy? Always happy? That indicates someone is a little whimsical in the brain pan. No one with any amount of sanity could be that happy all the time. These people just aren't right. It's like an episode of Leave it to Beaver all the time.

She shook her head, all of a sudden feeling the urge to spit; all of this perfectness had left a bad taste in her mouth. Seeing all of this everywhere, she was beginning to feel an itch between her shoulders; that feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop. There's no way this place is as perfect as it seems. There's something wrong here, she thought.

Wrong or not, Jessie was hungry, and there wasn't much left on her ship. She walked through town and spotted a place with a sign that read "Granny's Diner."

She sighed, Of course it was called Granny's Diner, she thought sarcastically. What else would the diner in a perfect little town be called?

She figured it was as good a place as any. Besides, she hadn't come across anywhere else that you could buy and eat cooked food, and she didn't feel like cooking it herself, so here she was, walking up the sidewalk to Granny's. She kicked her boots on the front of the steps as she went up to make sure she didn't track anything disgusting inside. She may be a pirate, but that didn't mean she was raised by wolves.

Chey sighed as she continued to eat and drink. A few times she thought that she saw the father of her daughter but turned out that she imagined it. Chey hated that but it wasn't new. At least not to her, as that had happened to her a lot. Chey was used to it due to that. She missed him, her step brother and other siblings, as Weill as mom with whom she normally kept in touch, a lot but not anymore. For a while Chey didn't as it made it slightly easier to her, as that way she had no idea what she missed and had no reason to worry. At least she thought it was easy, even if not always it was the case. Chey hated it but she thought it would hurt too much, if she kept in touch more. The only thing it did do, was make her miss them even more.

Chey tried not to think about it or it hurt her more. She felt like if she contacted them she would be tempted going back and she refused to. It brought Chey too many memories. The kind of memories she wanted to forget. Like giving birth to her first daughter, who got taken by Dutch Dixon. That was a nightmare. At least it was to Chey. Chey wanted to avoid that, and the fact that she said No to Reno when he asked her to marry him. She hated herself for that. Chey scolded herself everyday for that. She should have said yes, but she panicked and said no. Granted, Chey knew that she had a good point to say no but he got better points as to why it a good idea. They wanted to be together and that way they could be, nothing was wrong with it, she knew that rather well. Yet, stupidly Chey turned him down and now she had to live with it. She shook her head to those thoughts. As it didn't matter now, since it was over, Chey was sure of it.

She blamed herself for ruining it all everyday, as she hated herself for that. Chey hated for it everyday, this day included even if she did the best she could not to think of that. She sighed as she looked over to the door. Chey watched as a person walked inside and then she continued eating as well as drinking, as once in a while she looked at the person once more.

Jessie stepped inside and looked around the diner. It was packed; not an open table anywhere. How in the world is a diner in this tiny town packed with this many people? She wondered. Even the bar was cram-packed with people. She stood there in the doorway, feeling like a neon sign blazing in the dark until she finally spotted an open seat. Unfortunately, it was at a table that already had someone sitting at it, and that person kept looking at her. She was sure she'd never seen her before. It's probably because you're standing in the doorway like you're rooted to the floor, her sarcastic inner voice pointed out.

She sighed, finally moving toward the stranger. Her feet felt like they were made of lead. She didn't make a habit of approaching random people unless she planned to pick their pockets, and that was not the goal of the day. She stopped next to her table and cleared her throat softly, more out of habit than necessity. "Do you mind if I share your table?" Jessie asked. "I'm kind of hungry, and the place is pretty packed."

She stood there feeling awkward. She was good with mouthy, and rude, and pretty much anything that involved saying whatever was on her mind, but introducing herself to new people? Not so much. Speaking of introducing yourself... her inner voice reminded her.

"Oh! I'm Jessie," she said, not sure whether to offer her hand to shake. In the world without magic, where she'd grown up, it was a normal introduction, but here... She wasn't sure. Pirates sometimes got offended by handshakes, and other people in the enchanted forest looked at you like you were unbalanced. In the end, she didn't offer her hand. She didn't know where this woman was from, and she already knew she wasn't the only one that came here from the enchanted forest.

Chey looked around shocked and confused that the place was packed, then again it was a good diner and nice diner. So on another hand it did made sense or so she thought at least. Chey hadn't seen the place that packed being that people had jobs and other things. That was why she was rather confused by that. Given that the fact that the food at Granny's diner was good was why it wasn't surprising at all. Chey only saw the place packed once or twice before but it had been awhile since then. She shook her head from those thoughts as those thoughts confused her a great deal. Chey watched the young woman as she saw her by the door and sighed to that. She hoped that she was alright.

Chey noticed the person that stood by the door a lot make her way over to her. She watched her and sighed to that as she ate more and drank more as well. Chey then looked up again at the young woman once more as she spoke to her. She listened to her closely. "No, not at all. Go right ahead and sit down! It's just fine, go right ahead and don't feel like you interrupting or anything like that because you are not, you really aren't, " Chey said to her and nodded with her head towards the chair. She hoped that the young woman didn't feel awkward sitting in front of her because there was no reason to as it was fine. Or so Chey felt and it was what she believed. As for her it was the case. Chey planned to tell her that kindly if it turned out that the young woman did feel rather awkward. Also that didn't stop her from hoping that it was the case. That the other young woman won't awkward or such. "And I am sure you. Don't worry I understand and I have noticed that it is packed too." Chey said to her.

She looked around herself lost in thoughts for a bit and then looked back at her once more. Chey was kind and nice, as she saw no reason to be rude and heartless towards the other young woman, since she was nice to her, so it was only fair to be nice back or so she thought at least. She was always that way. Someone nice to her and Chey is nice back, someone is rude and cruel to her and she is that way towards them in return. As she was raised well, despite her troubled teenage years many years ago. However, that was besides the point. Chey refused to focus on her past and only focused on the present. This moment included.

Chey listened to what she said next as she sipped her drink, and then put down the cup, as she swallowed the drink. She watched her and smiled at her as she extended her hand to shake hers. "Nice to meet you, Jessie, I am Cheyenne but I go by Chey mostly," Chey said to her with a smile. She then took her hand away after a few minutes or so. Chey then continued to eat, and swallow, as she cleaned her face and then looked back at Jessie once more and smiled at her.
