The convent always managed to relax her intensely. Whenever she needed to breathe or some fresh air, she could enter the convent and feel her muscles relax. She didn't know if it was because of the atmosphere, or because of the other fairies who worked there, whose company always managed to calm her down enormously. She didn't know what made the place so special, but she wouldn't want to trade it for anything in the world, whatever it was. It was the place she could go to when she needed to clear her head, such as the forest or the store where she worked were. Places that made her feel at home and where she could breathe and feel good, calm. A smile decorated her face, as she sighed happily.

Lola was looking at some drawings that the children had drawn a few days ago, children living in the convent and in the orphanage. The drawings were beautiful, because even when many of them had gone through things that no one should have to go through, they managed to keep smiling and laughing and being happy and drawing things as beautiful as a castle, a dragon, a swan, the moonlight reflected on the lake at dusk. They had so much talent, so much potential... Lola couldn't stop smiling at such works of art. Seriously, in her opinion, these kind of drawings were the ones that should be exhibited in the galleries. Those which showed such emotion, those which conveyed such feelings... it was indescribable. Lola felt lucky to be able to see them.

Her attention was caught by a woman who seemed to appear out of nowhere, looking around as if she was looking for someone. She was holding a... baby? The fairy's face lit up immediately, and with a final glance at the drawing she had been holding, she was on her way to the woman, feeling too moved by the scene. I know, it was just a mother holding her child, but it was adorable, and she didn't understand how anyone could not melt at it. Lola melted without even being ashamed, call her sentimental.

"Hello! My name is Lola Sunspell. First-time mother, I assume? We fairies notice these things..." she muttered, smiling from ear to ear. "He's adorable... he looks slightly like you. I'm sure you'll grow up to be a brave and strong man, won't you? You'll be just like your mom and dad," everyone talked to children, everyone. No one could judge her. "Aurora, I presume? I heard about you, back when we were in the Forest" Lola had heard about many people, thanks to the gossip of other fairies, fortunately. "Well, back to the point. Do you need anything? Maybe help with the little boy?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow, ready to help. "Oh, I'm sorry, how rude of me. What's his name?".

Lola didn't normally spend her afternoons in the convent. I mean, she visited it quite frequently, after all, most of her sisters lived there and she missed them more than she would recognise. She helped them with as much as she could from time to time, on evenings when she didn't have to work at Game of Thorns, and even sometimes when it was her shift but she missed her family tremendously, Lina had offered to take her place. She couldn't really express how much she loved her redheaded friend, she'd be lost without her in the store.

That was one of those days when she could visit the convent, not having to work in the shop. Being in the convent only reminded her how much she had missed the other fairies. All of them were so different, so unique... that it was hard not to love them. Of course, she was biased, she had always lived with them, but even if she had not, she could not imagine anyone who did not admire and love all the fairies gathered there. All possessing hearts full of goodness and joy and hope, wanting to make the world a better place, they all had the same purpose. And those simple details made her feel warm and at home.

Lola smiled as she ordered some toys that a man had brought earlier for the children, watching them for a few seconds. Why would anyone want a toy kitchen? cooking wasn't that fun, and it was dangerous, and it was something that supposedly only adults did. Why would anyone create a smaller, pinker kitchen for kids? To prepare them for the future? humans certainly had strange ways of entertaining and amusing themselves. Lola couldn't understand it. She lifted her blue gaze from the kitchen as she heard the footsteps of someone, someone who was heading for her current position. She spotted a woman, a brunette girl, looking around, as if she were looking for something. Lola left the kitchen in a safe place, and walked over to her, smiling sweetly. "Hey, are you looking for someone or something? I'm Lola Sunspell, a pleasure!" she offered the stranger her hand to shake, just wanting to help.

Things couldn't get any better. Her life at Storybrooke was perfect in her eyes, and although she sometimes missed the Enchanted Forest, the hill where the fairies used to meet regularly to talk friendly or play or do whatever they wanted... to be there was not bad either, for all the fairies were there, all those whom she considered sisters worked in the convent and she saw them day after day. And that was a gift, because she knew there were people who would pay to see their family again, but instead she had been lucky enough to have them all there.

And of course, she had to take advantage of the moments she managed to be with them, such as that very moment when she was walking comfortably with Indiana, her best friend in the whole wide world. They had gone through so many things together, they had discovered their gifts together, they had improved and learned from them together... she could not imagine her life without Indy in it, she had to be sincere. And of course, being in Storybrooke had not affected the relationship they both shared at all. Lola spent time with her friend, and her new friend, Jefferson, with whom Indy had arrived at a new base, someone might say.

Come on, they had attended the masquerade together, and after the meeting that the three had had with the zombies, they had kissed, so it was evident that there was chemistry between them both. The fairies knew things like that, they could pick up true love from a considerable distance, so she knew she wasn't wrong when she said that Indiana and Jefferson were made for each other. And she was proud to say that she had been a bit involved in the whole bringing them together thing, so hey...

Lola could not complain about her personal love life either, because she had found Puss, a boy who made her laugh and smile more than she could have imagined. She felt happy, she felt like nothing could go wrong... until something went wrong. As mentioned before, she was walking with Indy, a simple stroll before they had to go back to the convent, before a portal suddenly opened under their feet. She just had time to scream, not even move. Everything was dark and cold for a short moment, but almost instantly both fairies were thrown into what seemed to be... a street. A street belonging to... a city? Lola got up and took a quick look at Indy, "Are you all right?" she asked, before looking around. Indeed, they were in a huge city that was definitely not Storybrooke. "Where are we? This city seems gigantic... and I am not complaining, but I would like to know if we are in one of those kingdoms plagued by all the evils you can name".

It was a simply splendid, bright and beautiful day and Lola could not hide the big smile on her face, nor would she want to. Those last few days had been brilliant, at least in her most sincere opinion. After all that had happened at Christmas, the ball, and so on, I don't know, that new year seemed promising, not to mention that with the new year always came new friends and new opportunities and basically anything pretty that could bring a 'new' with it. In addition, the people around her, even those she didn't know personally, seemed to be happy and pleased in their new lives, and that was enough to make her happy.

As she strolled through the forest, her thoughts stopped at the people in general. How would they feel to be away from home now? maybe what they showed were false smiles and didn't really mean anything? But Lola always seemed to know when someone was not showing a genuine and true smile, and those she had seen seemed to be really happy... maybe they were happy away from home, or perhaps they had found happiness in Storybrooke, but that obviously didn't mean that they all found the same fate. Many of them would surely feel trapped inside Storybrooke, just like her sometimes, like birds imprisoned in a cage, though a slightly large cage, but still a cage.

Lola wondered if those people would be happy if someone from their worlds appeared there, though perhaps they didn't have anyone... she frowned, how did she end up thinking of something so depressing when she had been over the top just a few seconds ago? Definitely, mind tricks were rare and uncertain. The young fairy shrugged, deciding to turn those thoughts away from her head, and with swift movements, wrapped her hands around the branch of an old, tall tree, creating long vines that enveloped its brown being. "Like a bracelet," she muttered, smiling. So she continued through the forest, growing small flowers, because in her opinion there was nothing more beautiful than to see a living being bloom.

tag: Will Solace <3

The fairy sighed heavily as she looked at the various bandages on her lap. She was sitting on a bench in the lovely park, staring at the bandages as if they kept the most dangerous secret in the universe. Look, ever since that little accident happened in the forest, the need to know how to help others took over her body. A few weeks ago she had met a doctor ironically with her ankle sprained in the woods, and she had not known what to do. She had been fortunate that the wounded person was a doctor, for she had instructed her.

But what if she hadn't been a doctor? What if it'd been a normal person without any medical knowledge? Yes, the obvious and evident answer would be to take the injured person to the hospital and have them fix the problem there, but what if next time it wasn't just a sprain? What if it was something more serious? Since that day, she had decided to at least learn the basics of medicine, and she had taken a few borrowed, not stolen, bandages from the hospital, and she was trying to... well, learn how to bandage someone, but let's be honest, it was impossible. Okay, it wasn't impossible, but it was surprisingly difficult.

"And I thought it would be easier than wrapping gifts... because wrapping gifts is not an easy task, most people look for help when it comes to wrapping them, but I know how to wrap them perfectly. Then answer me this, why can't I wrap my own arm in a bandage?" she asked, to the air, earning a few odd glances, though she didn't really care. Lola was frustrated, and confused. It couldn't have been that hard. It was either she was too clumsy or the doctors made it look too easy. She was glad she hadn't volunteered at the hospital as she wanted, that would have ended... horribly wrong.

Lola just needed patience... with patience she would learn to wrap arms. So with a sigh, she lengthened the bandage she was holding on her right hand, and tried to once again bandage slowly but surely her left arm, but... don't ask how, the bandage ended up frankly tangled around her arm, and... well, it's not like she could get rid of it either. Fantastic. "This is my life now, now I will have to live with this insufferable bandage tied to my arm... humiliating."
