The docks at Alexandria Castle were a constant spot that General Beatrix loved to visit. And while Storybrooke had some docks of their own, they hadn't quite matched up to those that she was familiar with. Instead, her attention had been brought to the beach where the waves crashed, the salt water scent filled the air, and the pale moonlight of a lone moon shined down upon her with help from the countless stars above.

The armor along her boots, along her hands and wrists, and the armored eyepatch over her right eye glistened as steps stopped and sand fell back to the ground as it was no longer kicked up by the boots of the approaching Knight. She stood just at the waters edge, every moment the waves rushed out they threatened to come closer to the tips of her boots before the oceans strength pulled them back.

It was a warm night, a warm breeze teased the tail ends of her cream colored duster causing them to ripple behind her while right hand in habit shifted the large leather belt around her waist where her sword had been sheathed. She came to reflect, if anything to simply gaze upon the ripples of water and let the sounds of the uncontrollable ocean sooth her.

Even one of the greatest to hold a sword in all of Gaia needed some time to themselves, and while she had thought she found it, she instead found herself raising a thin brow as she could feel the approach of another coming. Her hand hovered over the hilt of her sword, the Save The Queen, but for now the blade remained sheathed.

There seemed to be peace in Storybrooke, an odd realization given that it was the portal that brought her there and yet wouldn't let her leave. She only imagined that things had to come together, that whatever the direct result was would come full circle and she could make her way back to where she belonged. For now though, the only thing she could do was adapt, something that was much easier said than done for the young woman who really knew nothing more than how to be a knight.

Her hand brushed away some of her lush locks of chestnut hair and body half turned to see if there was in fact someone nearby. It was funny how different the world was here, the knights here were different than her. The magic was different, none of it was like it was back home. Even then in that now quiet town as night fell, she imagined most of the people had gone on to sleep. While she would do so eventually at the bed and breakfast she was encouraged to stay at, Beatrix was in no such rush.

Heritage Park had become an easy spot that Beatrix enjoyed visiting. It was an open area, it had a large pond, and the people there were generally friendly all around. Beatrix had walked around the pond a few times where attention had been focused on the ducks that swam back and forth across it. Today she had gone without her usual knight wear, her armored gantlets and boots were left behind alongside her sword and duster.

A part of her felt almost lost without them, but then she couldn't argue the comfort that came from the brown leather jacket she wore on an unseasonably cool day with a pair of khaki colored jeans. Her chestnut hair was tied back into a bun with only some hair remaining down that hung over her right eye where a maroon colored eyepatch sat.

Some children ran past her, soon followed by their parents as the family had been playing a little game while Beatrix stopped walking to instead take a spot on the vacant bench overlooking the pond. She drew a breath of fresh air from her lungs and looked out on the water. The burden of her duties was weighing down on her, but not in the way that one would have thought. She missed them, she hated the feeling that the great General of Alexandria was now of no use to the kingdom and the Queen she was sworn to protect.

Hopefully Steiner had it all under control. While a part of her was convinced that her beloved Knight would have, there was always that tinge of worry that things may have gone badly so much so that even he couldn't fix it. She heard footsteps however, and wondered if perhaps someone else wasn't coming to sit. She hadn't minded, in fact she welcomed the conversation. As it were, she couldn't help but still feel like she didn't belong there. Which by all means, she didn't.

She was far from her home, but the people of Storybrooke had taken her in and treated her with kindness. Due to that, and the duties of a sworn Knight there was no doubt that when news came of a hunt for fragments to a mystical door, that the Knight had thrown herself into the search. The people of Alexandria were in fact, under her protection and as she ventured willingly this time into another portal, there was no way to know what lay ahead for the General.

She had gone with her full Paladin attire. A cream colored duster with maroon undertones, her gauntlets, maroon colored leggings and a pair of armored boots. The eyepatch she wore on her right eye too was armored and the Save the Queen was sheathed at her hip. Beatrix brought with her a small satchel of Ether should she need it. The benefits of being both a Knight and a White mage gave her the access to not only battle but to heal. This small skill was one that was greatly appreciated in any battle field.

As she stepped through the portal, she left Storybrooke and found her armored boots sinking a few inches into warm sand as she looked out onto nothing but an apparent ghost town further away. Everything was different here, from the sand everywhere to the warm breeze that teased the thick locks of her chestnut colored hair.

'Where' this was exactly was unknown to her, but even as hand hovered over the hilt of her blade and steps began to march forward, Beatrix had every intention on returning what she could of those needed fragments to give aid to the small town of Storybrooke. The ghost town seemed the most likely of places to start, all thing considered as just behind here there seemed to be nothing but sand and open air where the sun would likely shine down brutally.

Every fiber in her knew this wouldn't be an easy task. For whatever she may find, something may likely be there to try and stop her, and being in a new land had been a bit of an advantage towards any advisory as the Alexandrian General knew nothing of the terrain or of the types of beasts that may inhabit it.

There was of course too, the more obvious reason she had been there. Who was to say that this possible way to find lost friends also wouldn't give those caught in Storybrooke a path home? She grew everyday more concerned for the well being of her Queen, for her friends, and of course Steiner, who she had discovered her true feelings for after so long of pointless arguing and foolish rivalries that hadn't needed to be there.

OOC: I wasn't sure if she already knows he came back or if you want him to crash land right there and do a reunion too! I can edit it for whichever the case may be!

For the short time she was in Storybrooke the park had often been a quiet spot. It was peaceful and calm, and quite enjoying for the Alexandrian General. Today was different however. A play had been being preformed on the nearby old wooden stage that drew Beatrix in. The play had triggered a spark in her mind that made her remember all of the plays that were often put on in Alexandria and Beatrix found herself unable to turn and walk away as the performers put on a show that she wasn't even entirely aware of the plot to. It really hadn't mattered any though.

She took a seat at an empty bench in the back where many of the other guests visiting the play hadn't even bothered to look to the woman when she joined. Instead, she sat with hands gently placed upon her lap and full attention brought towards the show. It was a warm day, one where a warm wind would occasional pass through and tease her wavy locks of auburn hair. Her sword had been left behind, as she had come to learn that many in Storybrooke seemed to uphold laws that prevented her from simply walking about with her weapon on her person. Why? She found the rule silly, as it prevented her from protecting the innocent should they need it. But, as a General, she had to respect the rules of other lands and so the Save the Queen was tucked away at a safe location.

Soon, a dark haired man had caught her eye. She couldn't quite tell why it was that she had felt so drawn to him, but a part of her felt that the two had been from perhaps not the same place... but somewhere similar. Her attention was cast away from the play as she studied him. His face was not one she could recall, and yet her mind demanded she speak with him to try and make sense of it. She leaned over slightly, attempting to make herself known to the man sitting directly across from her on the bench in front of her. " Pardon me, what play is being preformed? " Who knew if he knew, but it seemed to be a decent enough way to start a conversation as Beatrix awaited his answer.

Her gauntlets crossed once more upon her lap and her cream colored duster covered most of her maroon colored leggings as the General with an armored eye patch shifted her attention to the play to the stranger.

OOC: I don't know why but a play seemed nice, they can walk away from it and it's no big deal if he knows what it is or not! http://files.b1.jcink.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The eatery called ' Granny's Diner ' seemed to be a lovely enough spot. It gathered many from the town and even the General of the Alexandria army had found herself feeling quite welcomed each and every time she stepped foot within it. Of course, the last time had been a bit of a disaster, as the only means of payment she could really offer had been in Gil, a currency unheard of in Storybrooke. Thankfully, they had offered to work something out with the Holy Knight, and Beatrix even offered to do some labor like dish washing or even sweeping the floors to make ends meet. It wasn't so much of a career, but more so a little something to both fill her stomach and to do her good deeds as a royal Knight.

This next time around she imagined would be better, as she now had a little of the green and white papered money that the diner did accept, which was perfect as the aroma of something had caught her sense of smell immediately after she stepped foot into the already crowded diner. " Mm what is that? She said out loud to herself as steps in a pair of black boots walked towards an empty booth. While she often got around wearing her usual knight attire, this time Beatrix had swapped out her clothing to match the civilians.

A pair of black boots, a burgundy colored skirt that ended just a few inches past her knees and a matching burgundy, white, and black flowered button down top. It felt a bit odd to her, although it also helped in bringing people to wish to speak to her, something she only imagined her carrying her sword so often likely prevented. As she took her seat, a hand ran through her auburn hair and brushed along the burgundy colored eye patch that covered her right eye. She expected to wait, and yet was surprised when a young waitress made her way over fairly quick to the waiting General. " What can I get for you today? " Beatrix considered for a moment, although she originally came in for a sandwich she found herself drawn instead to that scent that had filled the diner. " What is that smell? Can you smell that sweet aroma? " Always aware of her surroundings, for a moment Beatrix hoped she hadn't sounded like a fool.

For a moment, it seemed her fears may have come true. However, the young waitress had gone wide eyed and smiled. " That's our special! It's a white chocolate hot cocoa! Would you like to try it? " Beatrix already favored chocolate, it was a treat in Alexandria and one that thankfully existed in Storybrooke as well. And so it was easy to nod, and ever politely did she say. " Yes, please. I would love to try it. " If only. Beatrix smirked as the waitress left and her eyes gazed the menu in her hands still. Adelbert would love this place, he'd more than likely preach how much he loved it the moment he came in all up until the moment it was time to go.

It wasn't long before the waitress came back with hot cocoa in hand. When she set it down, that same welcoming scent had returned once more and more so as Beatrix smiled to the smoking hot liquid. " It's white chocolate, but it's also mixed with whipped cream and a slight bit of mint. " The waitress seemed proud of it, and Beatrix slowly took a sip of it to appease the young woman. But oh, the real joy came from the Alexandrian General instead. " Oh my. This is wonderful! " So much so, there was a good chance she may be ordering another if this cup didn't last too long!
