Puss was happy to be spending more time with Lola. Ever since the ball had made them become official, Puss was determined not to ruin this relationship. Like he had been torn away from every other relationship he'd had in his life.
But, that wasn't the time to focus on that. Puss just wanted to spend sometime with her. He was happy, but, then again no more then usual. Puss was usually happy, but, when he was with Lola, it went to a whole new level of extremes.
Puss was just glad that Lola was just as happy and easily excitable as he was, which is probably why they worked so well together. And, what he liked so much about this relationship. He didn't have to change who he was.
He had just gone to pick up Lola with some ice-cream, but, then he felt the ground shaking as he was walking with her, and, he noticed a portal appearing in the ground. This wasn't the way he had expected this date to go, but, he made sure he kept a hold of Lola as they both slipped and fell through the portal.
Puss felt the both of them falling and he tightened his grip on her, as they dropped down onto the ground of a strange place. Puss sat himself up, and, dusted himself off before looking down at Lola. "Lola? Are you ok?" Puss said, kneeling down and shaking her gently while pushing her hair out of her face.

Spending time with Puss was undoubtedly one of her favorite things. She loved spending time with the other fairies, with Lina, with the plants... but spending time with Puss felt different than all those together. She was a happy person, or at least she tried to be. Optimistic, very excitable, talked way too much, tried to get along with everyone, sometimes childish... she lived a happy life, with people who loved her, people she adored and wanted to preserve forever. Puss just seemed to make her happier, if that was even physically possible. When she was with him, she smiled more, she felt more alive... it was such a unique, inscribable feeling. Love, perhaps?.
Since they had become an official couple after the masquerade, the smile had not faded from her face. They were official, a real couple, boyfriend and girlfriend. It sounded too good to be real. Of course she had shared the details with her friends, because it had been a necessity, but when she found herself alone, with no one to talk to, she usually only smiled, only thinking of him. Of course not every time she smiled like an idiot she had Puss in mind, no, sometimes she thought of sunflowers, sometimes of ice cream... but yes, most of it was Puss. Knowing that the boy was her boyfriend only made her happy, and she couldn't help it.
So that day, when she saw the boy come to pick her up with ice cream, she could not help the smile that had been on her pink lips every day when her blue orbs found the brunette. It had been a nice walk, which had lasted too little, because they both had soon felt as if they were being pushed into something. Okay, she hated portals. I mean, she hated them for that same reason, not to mention that they brought innocent people to that city. Although she also liked them because maybe it was the only way out of town.
Lola nodded when she heard Puss asking her how she was, feeling his fingers tidying up the hair she had combed just before going for a walk with him. "Yes, don't worry, no broken bones and a smile on my face" she giggled after her own words, rising from the floor and wiping her clothes. "Oh come on, this t-shirt was new... and it's still new, but I definitely didn't want to spoil it by staining it with dirt" she muttered, sighing. Her shirt looked perfect, no dirt on it, but even so, falling off and staining your clothes wasn't something she wanted to do, ever. "Are you all right?" Lola asked, as she looked around. "Wherever we are, this place is nice. Cute, in a way".
