All in a days work.
The job at the library that Tina had received was easy enough. It mostly consisted of putting books away and as long as one was intelligent enough to learn the sections where each went -- it was a pretty simple job. Every so often she had to direct someone to a place where their intended book may be, and at times have to find herself taking part in some basic small talk which came as whispers due to the library setting.

On the down time? She got to read. And while all of the books were No-Maj books, it was still far better than doing nothing at all. The job greatly lacked the excitement that came with being an Auror, but it did in a good way lack how tedious being a Wand Permit Officer was too. It was a little something, and Tina was more than happy that she had been able to work there every few days.

One thing she did love about the library was that walking into it had felt like she was taking a step back into 1926 again. There were a couple computers, although the witch preferred to avoid those. Instead, she was quite content with the little wheeled cart that was almost always filling up with returned books or books that patrons may have changed their mind on. It was directly something similar to the one used at the New York Library, and Tina was more than happy to settle for something less as opposed to more like the automobiles outside, the cellphones, and the colored televisions that were all over the place. Oh and Wifi, whatever that was.

For a witch who could cast plenty of spells, it only occurred to her recently that in Storybrooke she was literally old fashion. Her outlook on things, the things she liked, all of it had been dated as compared to the more futuristic town that she was trapped in. Sadly, no spell that she knew of from her wand could change that, and while she'd love to have a time-turner, she even wondered if the enchanted tool would have worked or if it would have complicated things further. Let alone, they were next to impossible to get in the States.

The morning sun had been leaking in through the library windows when Tina took notice and gently drew her wand as the proper incantation was made and the curtains opened themselves as the rest of the sun found its way to light the room more. For the time being, she was alone. Although that may have changed when she decided that since she already had her wand out, she'd may as well use it more.

New York had strict laws, the whole United States had them and MACUSA was more than determined to uphold them. But in Storybrooke, none of that seemed to matter that she could see. And while she was a bit guilty in breaking the law herself, it was a bit more relaxing to knowingly use her magic here and there without having her co-workers coming down on her. In true habit, she did still do her best to avoid magic near No-Majs, as she really wasn't sure if she should trust any of them yet.

Although, one No-Maj may have caught her at that moment. As the curtains had been opened, Tina had looked to the push cart and one book that had been left behind from the history section. wingardium leviosa! She was a good few aisles away and the forest green covered book had began to lift itself from the cart with her incantation and a flick of her wand. She could have used the accio spell, but that was a much faster spell. She wasn't in a rush, not as the book slowly floated towards the witch.

Padmé Amidala Skywalker
Close your eyes. Feel it.
The light… it’s always been there.
It will guide you.
Padmé Amidala was in this city for last five days and truth to be told, she still didn't know about magic. No, wait, she was Skywalker. Padmé Skywalker. Anakin was alive, at least physically. Since she saw him, she spent almost every minute wondering if her husband was still somewhere inside that body. It was hard to decide, though, because there were moments when she felt like nothing changed from the time when they were happy together more than 50 years ago. In those moments she could lie to herself that he was still the same man she secretly married in Naboo. But then, as fast as illusion appears, it usually goes away. Those were small things that others may even wouldn't notice, but as his wife, she did. She saw Darth Vader in the moments when she simply refuses to do something and anger gets completely over him until he finds control. She could see the monster in the coldness of his blue eyes. And the worst, even when he was smiling, she could sense the war that was inside him between good or bad.

That is why she needed to escape, at least for a little bit. Padmé knew she promised she would give him a chance, even try to save him, but obviously she wasn't strong as she thought. Her whole life she lived led by morals and honor, and now... She was with someone who killed many, even children. Someone who tortured innocent people just for fun. And she needed a break.

Even if she came here recently, the city was almost identical to Underworld, just more colorful. It wasn't always like that, but at some point, Hades decided to change the place and name it Underbrooke. Now Padmé at least knew what was the inspiration for that change. She was walking around trying to remember where the library should be. She loved reading back in Underworld, learning about this planet and people here.

She finally found the building and peeked through the window to see if it's open. And at that moment, former Senator wasn't sure how she managed to stop herself from screaming. The girl inside... She was using the Force. Anakin lied, he swore to her that the Force doesn't work in this place but now... Padmé rushed inside pale as the snow and looked at the girl. "How did you do that? How you managed to use Force here?" she asked fastly because she was afraid if she tries to speak slow she would faint before she gets answers. The Force was here... She needs to warn everyone... She needs to protect the city from her own husband. Padmé was manners and on any other occasion, she would show manners of Queen but now... She needed answers and hope it's not too late for the city. The truth is, Senator Amidala was horrified.

All in a days work.
The woman that came in had taken her by surprise. The doors to the library had only been unlocked for a short time and normally it took a bit before any of the Storybrooke residents really got around to getting there. The book that she had cast the leviosa spell on had at that point reached her so that she could take hold of it and hand holding book fell at her side so that she could focus her attention on the woman.

She didn't recognize her at all. Although, that really didn't say much since Porpentina really still hadn't met everyone in the town. There were so many faces, and with her own matters she really just hadn't felt the desire to fully get out there and see who and what she should know there. " What's the force? " Simply put, the force? As though on habit, Tina had moved her arm back from behind her back where she held the plain wooden wand. ( She didn't have a fancy one like some people. )

" I used a floating charm. " Magic.. was acceptable here. That much she could recall. Or so she hoped. For a moment her own dread sank in that maybe the MACUSA did have some sort of control there. Although, if that were the case, she'd love to know why it was that people were being caught in protals and brought there, herself and Newt included.

She wasn't about to let the woman actually hold her wand, given that she'd had it since she was eleven. " I can show you? " It wasn't like she couldn't trust her, she'd been doing magic since she was young. It was basically a part of her! But she could also see how distressed the woman seemed, and that once more had her worried.

" It doesn't hurt anyone. I'm not going to hurt anyone. " She had no idea where the woman was from, or if magic had been maybe a negative thing there. and maybe Tina's own words were somewhat a lie, magic could very well hurt someone, although that was something that Porpentina had no reason to do. That sort of thing was for the darker wizards, the ones that at least so far she had been thankful weren't in Storybrooke. She wasn't about to rush with showing her another floating spell though, not when the woman seemed upset by it.

Instead a free hand pushed some dark hair behind her ear and wand was left held in her right hand softly as she looked from the woman to the stack of books still left to put away. " Oh. So, I'm Tina. I haven't met you before. " Maybe not exactly the greatest time for an introduction, but then why not.
