Finally, it was the weekend, no more bratty hormonal teenagers for a full two days. Not that Charlie didn't like her job, she totally did, she got to work with the internet and computers after all. A lot of the teenagers already knew about computers, but some were new to this realm and just learning, but she always felt like it was easier to teach kids about techy things than adults who were slightly more stuck in their ways than kids were. Of course it didn't stop her from trying to help anyone that asked for techy advice or that were just curious about her laptop when she was at Granny's Diner on it. Charlie checked her watch, she had gotten done with things a bit later than she planned, she thought she'd have been able to leave right at the 3pm bell, but it was now nearly 7pm and she was supposed to meet Anna at the Rabbit Hole at 8pm. She did some quick maths in her head as she debated if she had time to run home first, decided she did if she was fast. She had already showered that morning, and she wasn't one for over doing the night out preparations. She really just needed a quick change of clothes from her stuffy teacher clothes and to leave her bag and laptop and such at home.

She was looking forward to having a proper girl's night out with Anna, ever since Charlie's favourite pirate friend had started showing interest in the slightly airy red head, Charlie had been seeing less and less of Hook. She was happy for him though, she knew that ever since things with Emma had ended he hadn't had the easiest time with dating, especially since the man's first love had been killed in front of him. As much as Hook had been her friend first, she wanted to have a friendship with Anna as well that would go beyond just 'that girl her best friend is dating.' Anna was cool in her own right, and if the girl weren't straight and possibly dating her best friend, Charlie definitely would have been hitting on Anna hard. Of course sometimes she did hit on Anna for the lolz, but that was all harmless fun.

Once she was home and had left her stuff and changed, Charlie made a bee line for the Rabbit Hole. Gah, she couldn't remember the last time she had a girl's night with a friend. There had been that girl she was dating for nearly a year, but that had ended and it just wasn't the same. Girl's night with your girl friend, just was so different than girl's night with a girl that was your friend. Less pressure perhaps, less drama maybe. Anna was a bit on the naive side at times, and Charlie was eager to really show Anna all that a world like Storybrooke was in had to offer, which since Charlie had spent a year in the Enchanted Forest, she could attest that Storybrooke was nothing like where Anna was from.

Finally Charlie walked into the Rabbit Hole and went over to the bar, glancing around as she went to see if she could find Anna. It was 8:05pm, not bad, only five minutes late.

Fun fact about Charlie Bradbury, where she's from she is a huge gamer and loves LARP. In case you don't know what LARP is, it stands for live action roleplay, it's kinda like what we are all doing right now in the forum, only acted out live on a grander scale.

Charlie misses LARP and has decided to try and convince her new found friends of Storybrooke to do a weekend LARP event in the park. Now many are from worlds where dressing up as knights and princesses and queens is their normal lives, only in LARP the weapons are like cardboard, foam and plastic and stuffs.

The whole thing IC would probably take place over the course of 2-3 days. Still working out what the plot details might be, never organised a LARP event in real life or in fiction for a forum RP board xD

Was wondering who might think their characters would be interested in something like this, either to just participate or help Charlie plan

Years, it had been years since Charlie had left the note for Sam and Dean at the bunker, the rather vague note about finding a book about portals and realms and places she might find answers to the dark magic of the mark of Cain for Dean. She hadn't wanted them to worry about her after all, or think she'd just run off on them without word, problem was she'd only planned to be gone days or maybe weeks, months at the absolute most, but now it had been years. She wasn't really even sure how long since she heard that sometimes time did move a bit differently between the realms. It felt like maybe four years or so, but what if four years travelling between Oz to the Enchanted Forest and then to Storybrooke had been decades in Mysterious Islands. Sure that probably wasn't quite the case, especially since she had met people from her realm, even if she hadn't known them before Storybrooke, events described seemed to suggest things ran mostly the same as far as time.

She had never stayed in one place this long before, always on the go, always on the run from either the government or monsters. Sam and Dean were really the only two people she'd remained close to over the last ten or fifteen or so years. They'd saved her life after all, and she'd helped them with the problem of those demons that were fattening people up to eat them. They were more than friends though, not that she'd said as much to them, she wasn't always good with the feelsy talks. Still, in her mind Sam and Dean were her family, her brothers in arms, her compadres. She missed them, she hoped they were OK and not dead. When she was in Oz and had been helping Zelena, she had visions of their dead bodies, of failing her friends, and she still had nightmares about it from time to time.

Things lately hadn't been that great for Charlie, since her girlfriend of over ten months had broken up with her. Charlie wasn't used to being broken up with, usually she was the one leaving, moving on, since she never stayed in one place long prior to Storybrooke, it certainly had her rather bummed. She decided that some pie and milkshakes at Granny's would do the trick. She adjusted her laptop bag and placed her order with the waitress as she went over and took her usual corner booth, the one that had the best access to an outlet and then she opened up her laptop. She wasn't paying too much attention to everyone else in the diner today, she was just sulking in the pain of the break up and waiting for her pie while she booted up.

Charlie was still recovering a bit from the crazy zombie attacks that had been going on for the last few months, at least so far there had been only one major attack by them all together and organised, the one in March. Thing was, between those attacks and the crazy nightmares her girlfriend Willow had been having all year, she felt like she hadn't had a proper night's sleep without worry or anxiety in ages. Storybrooke had its fair share of crazy over the last few years, but zombie attacks was taking things to all new levels. As far as she knew no one had died yet, well besides that poor bloke who crossed the line sometime in early April and found out the hard way the line had been cursed, yet again. It was one thing not being able to get back into Storybrooke easily because of the protection spells, but to not be able to leave, that was cray cray.

Things had died down slightly since the major attacks in March, they were back again to the occasional wandering zombies, or small groups. Bit easier to manage. Now that it was summer Charlie didn't have teaching, though she did have some things to take care of at the school's computer lab, things that were harder to get done or address while school was in session. Major upgrades, cleaning and the like. When she wasn't busy doing that, she spent more time at the Occult shop where Willow worked, or taking freelance jobs around town fixing other people's computers if needed, things she didn't have time for during the school year.

It was weird at times, she never imagined she'd be a teacher let alone settled down in one place for so long. It was never the life she had dreamt for herself, since getting stuck in Storybrooke after the second curse, it was the life she had managed to build for herself the last few years in this quaint little crazy town. Though she did worry from time to time what was happening with her friends back home in her own realm, but until she could find a way to get back to them, there was little use dwelling.

She had spent all morning getting some things updated at the computer lab, she was tired now and hungry so she decided to take her laptop to Granny's at her usual table, that had the best access to an electrical outlet, and chill with some pie and milkshakes and work on a new character for her online Dungeons and Dragons group. She had music going on her iPod, but she only had one of the earbuds actually in at the moment so when the waitress came over with her shake and pie and fries, she'd notice. The music was up loud enough that anyone close to her at the table could probably hear it playing in the background, coming out of the loose earbud hanging down.

Libraries, normally Charlie saw them as a place to get great Wi-Fi, not that she didn't like books of course. Books had their place, and there were lots of things in the past she could only get from books if she could find the right one. As the technology advanced though, books had other things to compete with. Some people felt why read a book when you could watch the film, why buy a physical book when you could download the book online and read it from your phone. She probably spent the most time with actual physical books the weeks leading up to her trip to Oz, all that searching through book after book in the Men of Letters bunker to find the answer to the problems her friend was facing. So many books, books that didn't have online digital copies, and probably never would.

Generally these days she didn't have much time or reason to go to the library. When she wasn't doing school related things, or computer related things, she was usually hanging out with friends. The more she hung out with one of those friends, Willow, the more she heard stories about Willow's life back in their realm, in Sunnydale, which of course included stories of the librarian who was apparently something called a 'Watcher', it was a term Charlie had recalled coming across in much of her supernatural research back in the day, but never thought much about since she never came across one, or a slayer for that matter.

The more Charlie heard stories about Willow's past, the more she was rather curious to officially meet Giles, sure she'd seen him around town, but he was somehow a bit intimidating to Charlie. She wasn't really sure why, but up until now she hadn't really pushed to meet him. So she decided to find an excuse to go to the library today, it would be interesting to see what sorts of books Storybrooke had to offer. She had her laptop bag slung over her shoulder as she entered and started looking around at the books. Maybe she could find something on zombies, though she didn't imagine anything there would be super helpful, but she could be wrong.
