Charlie had never imagined that she'd actually get to meet Willow's best friend, ok well that wasn't entirely true, Charlie had imagined it quite a few times. To be fair though, since Buffy had been presumably back in the realm that Willow and Charlie came from, and it didn't look like they'd be getting back any time soon. Charlie knew it was certainly possible Buffy could also end up here like they had, but with millions upon billions of people, what were the odds. Well apparently the odds were pretty good, since Buffy was now here. Charlie had never been nervous like this before, of course she'd also never had to meet the family or friends of someone she was dating before. Usually she never stayed around one place long enough to have a serious girlfriend let alone meet their friends and family.

The first meeting had been short, and Willow had been there as a buffer. That was all well and good, but eventually Charlie would have to hold her own with Buffy. Once school was out, Charlie packed up some papers to grade and her laptop back in her messenger bag and headed to the diner. She couldn't remember if Willow was working today, but she knew they had plans to meet up later on. For now Charlie just wanted to grab a piece of pie and get some things graded first. Once that was out of the way then she'd be able to really enjoy the weekend.

She didn't see Willow when she got to Granny's, so she ordered a pie and a shake and took her usual corner table that was available, since it had the closest outlet where she could plug her laptop in and then not worry about the battery running to low. Once she had that set up, she pushed the laptop off to the right a bit at an angle along with the papers, and started reading through some of the tests as she ate her pie and listened to music on her iPod.

It was technically the weekend, so technically Charlie didn't need to be at the school. In all honesty she'd much rather have been back with Willow just sleeping in for the day, but she wanted to get tests graded and some updates run on some of the school computers and the best time to do all that was when there was no one really else around the school to pester or bother her. She had her head phones on and she was kicked back at her desk waiting for an update to finish loading.

She went to take another drink of the large coffee she'd brought with her, only to find there was only barely half a sip left of it. She sighed and tossed the empty coffee cup towards the trash can, and sighed as it missed and clattered to the floor. Yep, she definitely needed more sleep that was for sure. She yawned a few times, just 31% left to load, and she'd be all done. She leaned back a bit further, yawned again. Maybe, maybe she'd just close her eyes a bit, yea, just rest her eyes. She wasn't going to sleep or anything, nope, just rest her eyes, just for a minute.

Unsure of how much time passed, the next thing Charlie knew she was waking up on the floor of her classroom. She must have fallen out of the chair when she fell asleep, but no, something felt weird. Everything smelled, more, more, she wasn't sure, just she smelled everything it seemed, and odd, her tongue felt, longer. How could her tongue be longer, this didn't make any sense. It didn't take much time to realise she was indeed awake, and her clothes were also on the floor around her.

Oh no, this had to be magic, it was the only explanation. She wasn't sure what had happened, or if anybody would understand her, but she headed out of her classroom, managed to open one of the school doors to the outside that had one of the large bars across it, the ones you just had to push to open. She headed outside and towards the park, she had to find Willow, or anyone really, hell she'd even settle for Rumple if they could just figure out what was wrong with her. She finally got to the diner and tried to open the door, but couldn't, and someone actually tried to shoo her away from the door, they didn't want to let her in, something about no dogs allowed. She huffed and sat stubbornly by the diner door.

Charlie knew she was in a dangerous line of work, but ever since the Winchesters had introduced her to this world a number of years ago, it was the only world she really knew any more. It wasn't as if her life before magic and monsters had been glamorous or settled. She'd been on the run from the law since she was a teenager due to the government being a little bitty bit upset with her for hacking into the CIA. She moved around a lot, changed her name, always under a false identity, but something changed when she met the brothers, she felt like even if her world was mildly more dangerous, at least she knew what she was facing. She knew what lurked in the dark, that magic was real, and as much as part of her wanted to avoid danger, another part of her was eager to explore this world.

She kept in touch with the brothers as much as possible, sometimes their paths crossed on a job, other times they just used each other as an information resource, they her for her hacking skills, at least when it involved hacking that Sam wasn't able to do, which he was pretty decent at it all, better than Dean at least who mostly just used his laptop for porn. Charlie would call them for information on monsters, creatures, and such that she was having a hard time finding information on or figuring out how to deal with.

Today she was somewhere in Colorado, tracking down a lead about some mysterious deaths, people frozen in a hot room on a hot day, she was thinking maybe ghosts, but in this world it could be anything, either way, it definitely sounded like a hinky case. Emulating her friends, she managed to get a decent forgery of an FBI badge and credentials and headed to the small town to question the local sheriff. At the moment she'd stopped at the diner to grab a bit to eat first and get the lay of the land, maybe see what the local gossip was saying about the recent murders.

Christmas, a magical time of year, then again in Storybrooke there was magic three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Though it was always weird to her that somehow in this whole giant world they were sitting on, there was only magic in Storybrooke, unless of course magic was taken out of Storybrooke. She didn't really understand how that worked, and didn't plan to leave Storybrooke any way so, no need to worry about getting back in.

Charlie had made quite a life for herself since she'd been stuck in Storybrooke after the second curse, she still hadn't found what she needed that started her on a magical portal hopping journey, so she hadn't exactly been in a hurry to find a way back to Mystery Islands, despite the fact that she worried about Sam and Dean and wondered what they were up to, she was quite sure they were fully able to take care of themselves.

In the mean time, she had a teaching job, though sometimes the teenagers drover her batty, and she'd made quite a few friends in this quaint little town. She was especially good friends with a certain pirate, in some ways Killian reminded her quite a bit of Dean and he had excellent taste in the fairer sex, a trait they both shared.

Christmas was still a couple of weeks away, but it was Friday evening and she was bored out of her skull. She decided to go over to the Jolly Roger and give Hook his Christmas present early, more or less so she'd have an excuse to share it with him, since it was the most expensive bottle of spiced rum that she could get her hands on. She made her way up the plank and peeked around before stepping a foot on the ship.

"Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum....."

Charlie was still recovering a bit from the crazy that was Halloween, walking into a room and finding herself with others in what appeared to be an abandoned New York City centre full of ghosts and crazy things hadn't exactly been something she'd been expecting. Though considering the crazy shit that went on in Storybrooke, it hadn't been a super big shock either. At least no one died, that was always a success in her book, not something that was always the case when things had gone sideways in her realm, especially where magic had been concerned.

At least things seemed relatively back to normal now, besides the demon possessed dark one Rumple with his powers back, Rumple being evil wasn't a new thing, but the demon possessing him was actually starting to make the original dark one look like a fluffy pissed off kitten, and so far no one had come up with any ideas how to get the demon out of him.

Today though she had spent all day teaching kids computer science as was her job, and although it was never the life she had dreamt for herself, since getting stuck in Storybrooke after the second curse, it was the life she had managed to build for herself the last few years in this quaint little crazy town. Though she did worry from time to time what was happening with her friends back home in her own realm, but until she could find a way to get back to them, there was little use dwelling.

It was the after school hours, so she decided to take her laptop to Granny's at her usual table, that had the best access to an electrical outlet, and chill with some pie and milkshakes and work on a new character for her online Dungeons and Dragons group. She had music going on her iPod, but she only had one of the earbuds actually in at the moment so when the waitress came over with her shake and pie and fries, she'd notice. The music was up loud enough that anyone close to her at the table could probably hear it playing in the background, coming out of the loose earbud hanging down.
